Understanding Your Order Status

Understand the stages your order goes through before it reaches you. Learn what each order status means, whether you need to take action, and where to find order updates.

Quick Overview

Here are the key takeaways for understanding your order status:

  • Every order moves through a series of statuses, from Pending to Delivered.
  • Some statuses require action, while others simply keep you informed about your order's progress.
  • A Paused order means production has been temporarily stopped while an issue is reviewed or further information is needed.
  • You can view your order status, timeline, and tracking information in your Mixam account.
  • Most orders progress without intervention, but you should contact us if your order is delayed beyond the latest estimated timeframe or if you are unsure how to resolve an issue.

What Your Order Status Means

Your order status shows the progress of your order from pending through to delivered. Some statuses require action from you, while others simply let you know what is happening operationally.

What it means Do I need to take action? What happens next?
Pending Your order is incomplete Yes. Upload files, review your preview and downloadable proof, complete payment, and confirm your order. You may receive reminder emails for pending orders or orders that have been paid but not confirmed within 24 hours. Check your account, inbox, and junk folder for next steps. Complete all required steps to start pre-press checks by our team.
Confirmed You have uploaded your files, reviewed your preview and downloadable proof, completed payment, and confirmed your order. No action needed. Our team receives a notification that your order has been confirmed and carries out pre-press checks before production begins. Review times can vary depending on order requirements and current demand.
Paused A print expert has reviewed your files, identified potential print issues, and temporarily stopped your order from entering production. Yes. Check your email or junk folder for the reason your order was paused. Resolve the issue, contact us for help, or confirm that you want to proceed without making the recommended changes. Your order can continue once the issue has been resolved or you confirm how you want to proceed. Your estimated shipping date may change.
In Production Your order has been sent to a production facility, entered the production queue, or is being printed and bound. Changes can no longer be made at this stage. No action needed. Check the My Orders tab in your account for updates. Your order moves through production, quality checks, and packing before it is handed to the delivery provider.
Shipped  Your order has left the production facility and is with the delivery provider. No action needed. Check your email or the My Orders tab for tracking updates. If you receive a revised estimated shipping date, no further action is needed unless that date passes without delivery. Delivery is expected within the estimated timeframe.
Delivered Your order has been delivered to the address provided. No action needed. No further action needed.

What is a paused order, and what should I do?

A paused order means production has been placed on hold while our team reviews an issue or waits for information from you. The reason for this status will appear in your order and email notification.

This status does not mean your order has been canceled. In most cases, your order can continue once the issue has been resolved or you have stated that you want to proceed without making the recommended changes.

You do not need to place a new order unless our team specifically advises you to do so.

When to Contact Us

We can help you decide whether you need support or whether your order is progressing as expected:

You don’t need to contact us if:

  • Your order status has recently changed, and you are waiting for the next update.
  • Your order status is In Production.
  • You have received a revised estimated shipping date, and this timeframe has not passed.
  • Your order is still within the estimated delivery timeframe.
  • You recently received a dispatch confirmation email.
  • Your tracking shows your order is on its way, and you have received your tracking link or consignment number. For multi-part orders, not all items may show tracking at the same time, as some items may have longer lead times.
  • You are waiting for your tracking information to update after a recent Shipped email notification.
  • Your tracking information shows the order is moving through the delivery network.

Contact us if:

  • Your order status is Paused, and you are unsure how to resolve the issue described in your order or email notification.
  • Your order is still showing In Production more than 24 hours after your latest estimated shipping date.
  • Your order status shows as Shipped, and you have not received tracking information within 24 hours, even after checking your inbox and junk folder.
  • Your tracking information has not been updated for more than 48 hours after shipping. Please have your tracking number ready.
  • Your order has not arrived more than 24 hours after the latest estimated delivery date, and you have not received an updated delivery estimate.

If you are unsure whether your order requires attention, please check your order first. Most order-specific updates will appear there before further action is needed.
